Canadian EH Society presents a film and book event, Beyond the Summit: Tales of Resilience on Mount Logan and Waddington.

Commemorating the 100th anniversary of Mount Logan’s first ascent in 1925, Canadian EH Society brings the story to life as captured in the diaries of naturalist, Hamilton Mack Laing and brilliantly written in Trevor Marc Hughes’ book, Capturing the Summit. Presenting an excerpt from The Conquest of Mt Logan – archival footage from the 1925 expedition to Mt. Logan we see history before our eyes. The intrepid tales of Don and Phyllis Munday’s attempts to climb Mt. Waddington are vividly realized in Greg Gransden’s latest feature film, Chaos Glacier Country. A group of modern climbers set out to climb the highest mountain within BC, when things go awry in the face of bad weather, a series of comic mishaps and the stubborn insistence of its leader on only using antique climbing equipment. This film follows our first attempt to Waddington as shown int the film, The Mystery Mountain Project.
